Located closely to the Daedeok R&D Special District, which contains more than 200 research institutes including Samsung's research headquarters, the Multifunctional Administrative City, the Daejeon Government Complex, and the Headquarters of the Korean Army, Air Force, and Navy
UAlberta students are eligible to apply for Chungnam's "Global Scholarships Program" which would pay for on-campus accommodation fees and give a 50% discount for an intensive Korean language course with both of these benefits lasting for up to 6 months.
Business students are encouraged to consider taking classes in Chungnam's specialized Asian Business Department.
