About the Speaker

Dr. Lise Gotell is the Landrex Distinguished Professor in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Alberta. She is the past Chair of the Board of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund. Dr. Gotell teaches, researches and engages in policy advocacy on sexual violence. Her publications on sexual assault law have been widely cited, including by the Supreme Court of Canada.
