In September, 2011 the Wirth Institute hosted an international conference titled "New Perspectives on the Austrian Enlightenment". A number of the articles in the latest edition of the Austrian History Yearbook (Volume 48, 2017) published by Cambridge University Press, originated as papers presented at that workshop. Grouped as a forum and titled "The Enlightenment in Central Europe: Structures, Spaces, Translations," they include a contribution by the former Wirth Institute post-doctoral fellow Marija Petrović and a commentary composed by Founding Director Franz A. J. Szabo.
