Dr. William Pearce, long-time member of the Reichert Holocaust Lecture Committee, visited the Wirth Institute on June 2 to donate his library to establish a Holocaust Book Collection in connection with plans to create a Holocaust Study Room at the institute. Dr. Pearce's collection of approximately 250 books, DVD's, brochures, and other materials concentrates on three themes: the books of Primo Levi, the story of Oskar Schindler, and the death camps. Much of the collection is comprised of first-hand published accounts published by Holocaust survivors. For more information on the Holocaust Book Collection or the plans to establish a Holocaust Study Room and a related fellowship program, please contact Joseph F. Patrouch, Director, Wirth Institute, at patrouch@ualberta.ca or via telephone at 780.492.1444.
