On Friday, October 25, the Member of the Hungarian Parliament Dr. Péter Hoppál together with the Honourary Consul of Hungary in Edmonton, Alexander S. Szenthe and other members of the Edmonton Hungarian Community visited the Wirth Institute. Dr. Hoppal, the parliamentary spokesman of the majority party Fidesz Hungarian Civic Union, was briefed on the activities of the Wirth Institute and particularly on plans to deepen the opportunities to study Hungarian culture and history at the University of Alberta and to continue the existing Hungarian Doctoral Dissertation Research Programme.
