College development discussions continue
President Bill Flanagan and Provost Steven Dew provide an update on the principles and focus of discussions on the establishment of the colleges’ roles and responsibilities.
Procurement priorities update
The Procurement team has reprioritized its 25 SET projects to focus on the largest cost-saving activities. These projects have a potential savings of $8 million annual. See the reprioritized project list on the procurement web page.
Relocating the PLLC and announcing new interim director
The Peter Lougheed Leadership College (PLLC) will be moving from its current administrative home in the Provost’s Office to the new College of Social Sciences and Humanities. In addition, Dr. Richard Field will take over academic leadership of the college as Interim Director.
Pulse surveys: measuring staff sentiment
Since August, the U of A for Tomorrow (UAT) team has sent out monthly pulse surveys to employees across the institution to gain a better sense of how the university community is feeling about both academic and administrative transformation. Learn more about the findings over the months.
Hiring announcement: Associate Vice-President, Marketing
After an intensive search, Sonia Piano will be joining the External Relations team as Associate Vice-President, Marketing on June 2.
