SharePoint Training

Windows SharePoint Services combines familiar office tools, adds the latest technology, and extends the functionality of applications and the web into a single environment to share information and collaborate with colleagues, no matter where you are or how you access the information. We offer Sharepoint courses for beginners and those who are not necessarily IT tech professionals, but are responsible for day to day management of a SharePoint site within their organization.

SharePoint Level 1

Windows SharePoint Services combines familiar office tools, adds the latest technology, and extends the functionality of applications and the web into a single environment to share information and collaborate with colleagues, no matter where you are or how you access the information. In this course, you will create and edit content in a Windows SharePoint Services team website, and then you will create and manage your own team site.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Examine collaboration technology and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 team sites
  • Work with lists
  • Work with libraries
  • Communicate with team members
  • Work remotely with SharePoint content
  • Customize your SharePoint environment
  • Create a team site
  • Perform basic site administration

This course is presented through a mixture of instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

SharePoint Level 2

In your previous experience, you have used the features of a WSS team site and you have also performed some basic administration of WSS team sites as a site owner. Once you have mastered these basic skills, your job might require you to perform more advanced administration of the sites you own, or even administer multiple sites and the SharePoint Services environment as a whole. In the Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0: Level 2 (Second Edition) course, you will manage team sites as a site owner and as a SharePoint Services administrator.

This course is designed for individual contributors or departmental staff in a variety of job roles, such as administrative assistants, or functional or operations managers, who have with basic SharePoint site owner skills, and who have the responsibility for managing SharePoint sites as an enabling technology within their workgroups, not necessarily IT tech professionals.

What’s New in SharePoint Online

This course is for people who have experience using Classic SharePoint (SharePoint 2016 or earlier) and are moving to SharePoint online.

In this course you will learn how to use the updated interface in SharePoint Online. You will practice editing and formatting lists, working with files and metadata in libraries, and editing pages in SharePoint. We will also take a look at sharing and permissions.

Course Details

Prerequisites:

  • Experience using Classic SharePoint (2016 or earlier) as a site member or owner.
  • Ability to access a website in an InPrivate window (Edge) or Incognito window (Chrome). This is to avoid potential conflicts with your organization’s SharePoint installation. Since many organizations restrict access to this type of browser window, some have found it practical to attend the course from home. Alternatively, please check with your IT department to see if this functionality can be made available during the days of the course.
