(Edmonton) Almost 40 people affected by the communication disorder aphasia attended the second annual Alberta Aphasia Camp held Sept. 18 to 20 at Lake Wabamun. The weekend-long retreat, facilitated by more than two dozen University of Alberta students from the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, gave families a chance to enjoy a range of outdoor activities and build on communication skills while making new friendships.
Alberta Aphasia Camp is partnership between the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and March of Dimes Canada.
