About Us

The University of Alberta Postdoctoral Fellows Association (PDFA) is aimed at representing and serving the needs of postdoctoral fellows from all faculties.

On November 13, 2007, the PDFA and the University of Alberta signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which guides our common purposes and marks the official recognition of the PDFA by the university.

The PDFA provides respresentation, information, resources, support, and professional and career development opportunities. We also host various social events for postdocs on campus (when allowed under provincial health regulations) or online.

Our activities are overseen by the PDFA executive committee, elected annually by PDFA members.
