Licensing

Upon completion of the program, students are required to take a Physiotherapy Competency Exam (PCE) in order to obtain a license to practice in certain provinces. This exam, under the auspices of the Canadian Alliance of Physical Therapy Regulatory Boards is taken in June or November after graduation from the program and costs approximately $2,800. The physical therapy program is designed to enable students to pass the exam, however, completion of degree requirements does not guarantee successful completion of the PCE.
