UofA Philosophy Maintains Its Top 100 Ranking for the Fourth Year in a Row

Two UAlberta Faculty of Arts subjects are among six University of Alberta areas ranked in the top 50 across the globe, according to a new QS World University report.

We're very pleased at the QS World University rankings released last week, which named us one of the top 100 Philosophy Departments in the world the fourth year in a row (rankings are based on institutional reputation plus research output and impact). It testifies to the continued quality of our research that we also remain one of the top five Philosophy Departments in Canada, despite having the smallest faculty complement by far -- with overall impact numbers comparable to departments more than twice our size.
