The Department of Philosophy is pleased to announce that Professor Rob Wilson has been awarded a substantial 2-year grant from the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund at the University of Alberta for the project "Building Collaborative Communities for Critical Inquiry". This project will explore the potential that integrating collaborative philosophical inquiry into postsecondary and elementary classrooms has for university student engagement. Coordinated by Dr. John Simpson, the project will innovatively adapt work of Philosophy for Children Alberta to advance reflective life-long and community-based learning in our students. If successful, this pilot project will provide a model for school-based community engagement in courses across the Faculty of Arts.
