Advanced Radical Metabolite Analysis (ARMA) Laboratory
The Advanced Radical Metabolite Analysis (ARMA) Laboratory is equipped with a cutting-edge electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrometer capable of detecting and characterizing radicals at sub-micromolar levels. Radicals are atoms or molecules with one or more unpaired electrons, some of which are highly reactive and potentially toxic. The new rapid-scan EPR, the first in Canada, allows for detection at very low levels and under different temperature and atmospheric conditions. This platform enables the investigation of radical reactivity in ways that were not previously possible.
