Experiential Education

Our experiential education program spans from first to fourth year as well as across the Doctor of Pharmacy for Practicing Pharmacists program. Student placements are scheduled in a variety of practice setting across the province to best prepare our graduates to meet the health care needs of all Albertans.

Resources

As a student pharmacist you will have the opportunity to hone your skills under the guidance of our trained preceptors, in some settings such as these;

  • Institutions
  • Community pharmacies
  • Ambulatory clinics (including Primary Care Networks or Family Care Clinics)
  • Specialty sites/Out of province

For specific course information and course syllabi, visit our Course Information page.

Please note that many experiential education requirements have additional fees associated. As most of these requirements are fulfilled by external providers, the cost varies at their discretion but students can expect to spend approximately $1,000.
