4. We would like to congratulate three of our students on being awarded the "Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship" or "AGES" Scholarship. This scholarhsip recognizes outstanding academic achievement of students pursuing graduate studies in Alberta. 5. It is our pleasure to congratulate Shayla Mosley, a Cancer Sciences PhD student in the Baker lab on her recent CRINA Scholarship which is supported by the Kenneth and Reta Cote and Joyce Cote Biomedical Research Endowment. Congratulations Shayla! |
6. Recently Bryce Nelson, a doctoral student in the Wuest lab, was selected to receive one of only three Dorothy J Killam Memorial Graduate Prizes given out by the University. These awards were created in the fall of 2002 to honor the memory of Dorothy J Killam. These are awarded annually to the most outstanding Killam Memorial Scholarship recipients, which are also very prestigious awards. There are three Dorothy Killam Prizes in total, one for each Tri-Council area (NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR). Recipients receive a cash prize and a certificate acknowledging their award. Congratulations to Bryce on all of his hard work! |

7. Odunola Grace Babawale from Medical Physics (Dr. Jay Yun Lab) was selected to receive a Canadian Cancer Society doctoral scholarship - one of only three Albertan recipients (17 across Canada). We congratulate Grace on this amazing accomplishment and her contributions to research! |
