Nursing Graduate Students' Association

Welcome to returning and newly enrolled graduate students at the University of Alberta Faculty of Nursing ⁦on behalf of ⁦the NGSA Executive team! 


What is the NGSA?

The NGSA is the official voice for Faculty of Nursing graduate students at the University of Alberta. It is composed of graduate students, both master's and PhD, who promote the general welfare of nursing graduate students through social, recreational, cultural, academic, and community-oriented endeavours.


NGSA Meetings

NGSA meetings occur once per month, from September to April. Elections for NGSA Executive positions occur every September, but individuals can become a general member at any time during the academic year. To become a general member or for other inquiries, please email the NGSA (nrsgsa@ualberta.ca) or any of the Executive members. MENTOR US - Mentorship Program

The NGSA has developed and launched MENTOR US, a mentorship program for MN, PhD, international, and distance students. The mission of MENTOR US is to enhance the quality of the nursing graduate student experience through the use of a peer-to-peer mentorship program that facilitates students' personal growth, confidence levels, leadership abilities, and academic success.

Graduate Students' Association (GSA)

The Graduate Students' Association (GSA) is a student-run, not-for-profit organization, and the official representative body for all Masters and PhD students at the University of Alberta. The GSA represents over 7,000 graduate students for the University of Alberta's Board of Governors and other decision-making bodies. Please refer to the Graduate Students' Association website for more information regarding the services they provide. The NGSA has two GSA student representatives who represent the nursing graduate student voice at each GSA meeting.
