Story Maps are a free, interactive mapping platform that allows for a creative, visual, and dynamic display of information.  More information about Story Maps can be found at https://storymaps.arcgis.com/en/

This project aims to build a Story Map that highlights researchers funded through the Northern Research Grants, both UANRA and NSTP, in addition to other research being conducted in the North.

If you would be interested in participating in the Story Map please contact the UAlberta North office at uanorth@ualberta.ca.  Your time commitment is very minimal, and this will not require a lot of effort on your end.  At this stage of the project, we will need you to:

  • Review a short description of your research that you submitted with your grant applications. Of you can submit a short description of your current work.
  • Provide a short description of your project if it has changed from your original grant submission. Or if this is work that was not grant-funded through us just send a new description.

  • Submit photos from your project area or ongoing research.

  • Submit short video clips from your project area or ongoing research if you have them.
  • Provide any other fun or relevant information, links, ideas related to your research (i.e. community partners, research stations/institutes, collaborators info, personal websites, etc.).

We sincerely appreciate your time and hope that you will participate in this exciting project. If you require more info or would like to meet, please email uanorth@ualberta.ca

We will also be including a faculty spotlight on our new website. If you are interested in having your work highlighted or have a recommendation for a researcher or faculty member whose work should be spotlighted, please let us know.
