LSAT Prep Course for Black Applicants

Prospective Black law students who intend to apply to law school in the next two years can apply to participate in the LSAT Summer Prep Course for Black students at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law.  This 12 week virtual course provides free support to Black students who plan to write the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).  Thank you to Law Alumni and Friends for supporting our LSAT Summer Prep class for Black students!

About

The program prepares students to write the October LSAT and is taught by a current University of Alberta Faculty of Law student.  It includes an in-person welcome session and a graduation and networking event at the conclusion of the program.

Running from June 3 until August 21, classes will be held online twice a week both online and in-person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 - 8 p.m. (MDT). Participants must commit to attend at least 90% of the classes. Attendance will be checked throughout the program. Students should also be prepared to devote 2-5 hours each week to self-study and/or practice exams. Participation in the U of A’s LSAT Summer Prep Program is capped at 20 students.

Eligibility

Students must be enrolled in or have completed an eligible undergraduate degree program and must intend to apply for law school in the next 2 years.  Preference will be given to applicants applying in the Fall of the year they take the course.  Students do not need to have attended or be enrolled at the University of Alberta.
