Dean Barbara Billingsley of the University of Alberta Faculty of Law has published a new edition of a valuable and widely cited resource on insurance law in Canada.
The third edition of General Principles of Canadian Insurance Law (Lexis Nexis) offers updates on statutory provisions in Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia and the latest Canadian case law.
General Principles of Canadian Insurance Law provides a thorough overview of foundational insurance law concepts, as well as complex topics such as the principles of interpretation that govern insurance contracts in Canada.
Chapters also feature examinations of the formation of an insurance contract, insurance policies, and third-party rights and obligations.
The new edition will be of interest to law students and legal researchers, as well as practitioners, insurance adjusters and claims examiners.
