
University of Alberta Faculty of Law professor Timothy Caulfield has been named to the Royal Society of Canada's Task Force on COVID-19 in order to support Canada's response to and recovery from COVID-19.
The task force, which was announced April 8, has a mandate to assist the Canadian government in providing informed responses to major societal challenges caused by this novel coronavirus and the global pandemic it has produced.
Caulfield, who is the research director of the University of Alberta's Health Law Institute, joins task force chair Tom Marrie (Dalhousie University) and members Colleen Flood (University of Ottawa), Esyllt Jones (University of Manitoba), Sharon Staus (University of Toronto) and Jeff Turnbull (Ottawa Inner City Health) in this task.
