
On Tuesday afternoon, more than 50 people gathered in Room 197 in the Law Centre to listen to Dr. Valsan's lecture on: Diversity and the Relational Theory of the Board of Directors. Dr. Valsan, examined how the greater gender diversity in decision making leads to an increase in the perceived fairness of company outcomes and enhanced relationships with stakeholders.

Dr. Remus Valsan is Lecturer in Corporate Law and Programme Director of the LLM in Corporate Law at the University of Edinburgh, School of Law. Prior to joining the University of Edinburgh, Dr Valsan studied law at McGill University, Montreal (Doctor of Civil Law), University of Alberta, Edmonton (Master of Laws) and Nicolae Titulescu University, Bucharest (Bachelor of Civil Law). His main research interests lie in the fields of comparative corporate governance, trusts and fiduciary duties, and law and economics.
