Trish Merrithew-Mercredi
Trish Merrithew-Mercredi recently joined Alberta Indigenous Affairs as the Senior Advisor in the Deputy Minister's office. Prior to this, she worked as the Senior Advisor to the Chief and Council of the Mikisew Cree First Nation in Fort Chipewyan. Her previous work history includes being the Regional Director General for Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada in the Northwest Territories, and the Regional Director for First Nations and Inuit Health Branch with Health Canada in Saskatchewan. Trish was also the founding Chief Executive Officer of the Nunee Health Authority and the Poundmaker's Lodge, the largest Aboriginal treatment centre in Canada.
Raised in Inuvik, NT, she is the mother of two children and loves to read, run, fish and cook.
