ENGL 103 A14: Case Studies in Research: Masculinities

We will examine questions about men and masculinities through the lens of vulnerability and receptivity, in particular, and how various cultures represent masculinities in textual, visual, cinematic, and musical forms, such as fiction, photographs, films, and music. Students will situate themselves as “re/searchers,” appreciating the links between language and ideology, representation and identity.
