For its leadership in improving education for Indigenous children in Alberta classrooms through culturally appropriate teacher education, the Aboriginal Teacher Education Program based in the Faculty of Education has been featured on a website developed by the Canadian Geographic and Rideau Hall Foundation Partnership Project.

The StoryMaps website includes an extensive history of the Indigenous teacher education initiatives at the U of A that led to ATEP, a five-minute video featuring ATEP director Dr. Evelyn Steinhauer and current students and staff, an interactive map, photographs and links to additional resources that tell the ATEP story.
