Funding

The Department of Economics offers funding in the form of Teaching and Research Assistantships.

Funding decisions for Teaching Assistantships are made at the time program applications are reviewed and ranked. Funding offers are made to the top ranked applicants and are made separately from offers of admission.

Period of Funding:
Masters of Arts in Economics - 1 year
Master of Arts in Economics & Finance - 2 years
PhD - 4 years

Funding is contingent on students maintaining a 3.5 GPA and is reviewed at the completion of each term.

Research Assistantship positions may be offered throughout the student's graduate program as grant funding becomes available.

There is no application for the assistantship positions. Financial need is not a factor in selecting who will be offered funding.
