miyo pimâtisiwin Fitness Programming
We want to inspire and challenge the First Nation, Métis, and Inuit learners at the U of A to start living their best life through physical activity challenges and meet-ups, healthy snack and meal recipes, and inspiration for well-being. Like many of our programs, First Peoples' House wants to ensure there are no barriers to your health and wellness while you are here on campus; in this case your physical wellness.
We are excited to provide funding to full-time U of A First Nation, Métis and Inuit learners who want to enrol in U of A fitness classes through Campus and Community Recreation but cannot afford the costs.
First Peoples' House will offer up to $50.00 per term, a maximum of $100.00 per year, for you to register for the classes offered through Campus and Community Recreation for all classes offered in Fall and Winter Terms.
Application Process
As part of the application process, you will be required to meet with the oskâpêwiskwew of First Peoples' House to discuss your intention in registering for Campus and Community Recreation classes.
We wish all enrolled participants a fun and active semester and hope you truly enjoy your classes - we would love your feedback!
