Dr. Andersen WCW Poetry Winner

This competition is sponsored by Northeast Ohio Medical University, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Hiram College Center for Literature and Medicine, and Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. While this is the 43rd year of the medical student competition, it is the first year they have also awarded prizes in a physician category. They received submissions from over 250 truly fantastic medical students and physician poets.

 The first, second and third place winners are invited to travel to the Cleveland Health Humanities Festival, where they will celebrate the winning poets in an awards ceremony on March 15 at 4 pm eastern, featuring physician, award-winning author, poet, and filmmaker Dr. Diana Farid, MD, MPH.  

WCW winners are also considered for publication in the Journal of Medical Humanities
