The Grocery Run Program which connects immigrant and refugee women with rescued, healthy food every week began in 2016. Last fall they partnered with Leftover Calgary. Grocery Run began through a partnership between the University of Alberta's ENRICH Research Program and the Multicultural Health Brokers Cooperative, the Grocery Run Program connects immigrant and refugee women with rescued, healthy food every week. Operating under the Leftovers name has allowed for more donors and more service agencies to donate to. They are now hoping to create a mobile market to bring food directly to local communities.
