Rediscover the Magic of Winter

As winter approaches, the University of Alberta Botanic Garden remains a haven of beauty and tranquility. While Luminaria, our enchanting winter experience for over a decade, is hibernating, we would love to invite you to join us for our winter open hours.

Starting December 16 and running every Saturday and Sunday until February 11 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (excluding December 24, 30 and 31), come embrace the magic of winter at the Garden. Immerse yourself in a range of unique family friendly activities including:

• kick sledding (equipment included in your admission fee)
• snowshoeing (equipment included in your admission fee)
• cross-country skiing (must provide your own gear)

Then, warm up around the fire with loved ones while indulging in rich hot chocolate and locally produced hot apple cider.

Plus, Dog Days is back, so don’t forget to bring your four legged friends (on a leash of course) to explore the gardens' beauty together. Just don't forget to pack some water and pick-up bags to keep both you and your pup happy.

Regular garden admission applies. Last admission at 4 p.m.
