Research Areas
The Department of Biomedical Engineering participates in a wide range of research from innovation in magnetic resonance imaging permitting the study of human disease, to applying engineering to create solutions for those with disabilities as a result of spinal cord injury, and to nanotechnology in the evelopment of novel biomaterials.
Research takes place in world class facilities like the Peter S Allen MR Research Centre, the Centre for Ambulatory Rehabilitation Research and Education (CARRE), and the National Institute for Nanotechnology. Success in research is facilitated by a collaboration of the many different departments and faculties.
