Zooarchaeology Reference Collection Storage Expansion

This year Dr. Rob Losey received a grant from the Alberta Museums Association to expand the storage capacity of our Zooarchaeology Reference Collection. The grant enabled us to install about $10,000 worth of new metal cabinets that will allow us to expand the Collection for many years to come. As part of this, Dr. Losey also obtained a number of new specimens for the Collection. Of these, 41 were donated by Rob, and included shellfish specimens from the Pacific and Atlantic coasts of the US. Further, Alberta Fish and Wildlife donated 58 wolf and dog crania, and one whole wolf, to our Collection. Well done Rob!
