Sunday March 7th, 2010 from 10am to 5pm
Volunteers Required for Department of Anthropology Outreach Program
Science Sunday is an activity based afternoon for school age children and their parents organized by Museums and Collections Services and taking place in EAS and Tory Buildings. With your help, kids will have some fun and learn about some of the collections at the UofA.
For its part, the Archaeology Collection organizes a mock dig and interpretation. We have need for some volunteers with some Archaeology background but can also use volunteers with no experience. Volunteers will gain familiarity with artifacts in the collections and with basic field activities as well as get free t-shirts and a great lunch. Volunteers have to be available the day of the event and at least two other time slots of approximately 2 hours each for orientation, organization and cleanup - times to be coordinated with individual schedules.
