Social Worker Support
Who We Are
Wellness Supports has a team of Registered Social Workers providing supportive case management services to students on a one-to-one basis.
Our team works with students to strengthen mental health and wellbeing, promote increased stability in daily life, appropriately share resources, make relevant referrals, and engage in robust coordination with on and off-campus services. We can also assist students in the areas of housing, finances, academics, personal wellness, life skill development, family dynamics, system navigation, and any area of life where there is a desire to invite change.
What We Offer
We are committed to providing ongoing assistance to our students throughout the process of attaining appropriate mental health supports, and strive to bridge service gaps and connect students to timely and effective resources. We also listen to students who may be experiencing feelings of stress, who feel overwhelmed, confused, or who are looking to improve their overall well-being so that we can further enhance our ability to help shape how students navigate, access, and engage with mental health supports.
To ensure our goals, roles and responsibilities meet the needs of our students, and align with the National Standard, we also:
- Provide timely, situation-appropriate access to student-friendly care surrounding mental health and wellness concerns
- Work to improve student engagement and awareness regarding mental health issues and early identification
- Collaborate with groups and other student resources and wellness initiatives on campus to inform and support best practices
- Engage with the Office of the Dean of Students and other stakeholders on campus to improve student access to mental health services
