Posting a Job
campusBRIDGE
campusBRIDGE provides a single location for employers to post jobs (permanent, summer, temporary), co-op, internship and practicum opportunities at no cost.
The Career Centre collaborates with campus partners across faculties, colleges, and service units to serve students and employers seamlessly.
Job Boards Available
Post permanent, temporary, summer or gig economy opportunities for current students and alumni in all faculties and programs.
Employers are responsible for uploading their own job postings unless prior arrangements have been made. All jobs posted to the campusBRIDGE Student & Alumni Job Board need to adhere to the following policy:
- The University of Alberta's Students and Alumni Job Board is exclusively for paid employment opportunities.
- Compensation must comply with the applicable Employment Standards Regulation for the location of employment (e.g. Alberta Labor Standards and Minimum Wage).
- For all postings, details on salary, compensation and any potential training or initiation costs for the candidates are strongly encouraged, and postings lacking such information may be declined.
- Sales or commission-based opportunities must provide detailed descriptions of the job responsibilities and be transparent with compensation structure (e.g. how wages will be calculated, potential earnings versus guaranteed earnings) and any applicable start-up costs or associated fees. Postings found to be vague or have hidden costs will be declined.
- Unpaid internships or volunteer opportunities are not accepted for the Students and Alumni job board, contact us to see if those opportunities might be suitable for faculty-specific programs or other advertising boards.*
- We do not post scholarships, grants, subsidies, or other funding opportunities that are not employment-based.
- Advertisements for career-related events will not be posted; however, employers can include links to their events or information sessions within job postings.
- Third-Party Recruiters
- Third-party recruiters and recruitment agencies are required to specify the hiring employer within the job posting for applicant reference.
- If a hiring employer prefers to remain confidential for legitimate business reasons, the recruiter responsible for posting the opportunity may disclose the employer's identity to the Career Centre instead of including it in the job posting.**
- Discretionary Rights
- The Career Centre reserves the right to reject or deactivate postings deemed overly vague or general, discriminatory, inappropriate, or otherwise unsuitable for University of Alberta students and alumni.
For questions or assistance, contact us at hiretalent@ualberta.ca.
*Unpaid internships or volunteer opportunities can be posted on Volunteer Connector, Volunteer Registry, or the JobKin.ca board, please note that none of these websites are affiliated with or managed by the U of A Career Centre.
**Exceptions to be discussed with and approved by Career Centre management.
