Monday, January 8

FITNESS
Yoga Strong

Enjoy a yoga class that stretches you out and increases your cardiovascular fitness gradually. Class will start with a 10 minute full body warm up, followed by a 20 minute mix of strength and cardio movements. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels as you get to choose your own adventure! Class ends with a 20 minute yoga sequence to release, breath and balance.

Gain a newfound sense of strength and confidence in your body! Utilize your body weight in addition to weights and resistance to uncover a stronger, more resilient version of yourself to bring into all aspects of your life. Train yourself that you CAN do hard things! This class may include a cardiovascular component and is appropriate for all fitness levels.

MARTIAL ARTS
Kung Fu

This program will introduce you to the elements of Chinese martial arts (often named under the umbrella terms kung fu or wushu) and mindful movement to become better acquainted with your own body and mind. 

Classes will focus on techniques and conditioning to build into athletic movements (jumps, spins and kicks) and choreography (individual and group routines). We will tap into your inner hero, promoting confidence, creative expression, fitness, stress relief, and social interaction as we practice.

Zumba

38 Minutes of Zumba® where we take the "work" out of workout by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity movements for an interval-style dance fitness party. Once the Latin and world rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Super fun? Check and check!

FITNESS
Yoga - For Diverse Bodies

All bodies are strong bodies, but sometimes yoga can feel physically and socially inaccessible.

This class works with postures and sequences that can be modified to fit your body.
We use props to support our body's needs and avoid certain postures that can often cause anxiety or body/gender dysphoria (which could be anything, just let your instructor know!)

This class is open to all, however if you feel like you don't fit into a typical yoga class due to your body size, gender identity, or (dis)ability, then this class is especially for you.

Martial Arts
Capoeira

Come and learn the basics of capoeira, the traditional martial art of Brazil.

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian cultural heritage that was practised by the African slaves in Brazil, melding music, martial art techniques, dance, and acrobatics.

Come prepared with comfortable pants and a bottle of water! We train barefoot.

Yoga - Beginner Flow

A pressure free class where you get to gently progress at your own pace. From learning how you can safely do the poses to piecing them together in a Flow that gently builds strength and mobility, we will focus on always making the kind choice for your body in the moment!

Yoga - Women's Only

Attention to the self is crucial for wellbeing.This less physically intense practice will allow you to identify imbalances and strive for your strength. A perfect class for women and trans-identified individuals to feel safe throughout their practice.

DANCE
Breaking

Learn the fundamentals of breaking: musicality, toprocks, floorwork, basic power moves, freezes and the transitions to fuse it all together.

In addition to the basics, you'll also learn how you can begin creating your own style, how to freestyle to the music and ultimately, how to express yourself freely.

Spin

Take a ride with us in this energetic and motivating environment created by your instructor! Intensity is self-monitored and no inherent coordination is required making cycling classes ideal for "Newbies" and Tri-athletes. Find a leader that can bring you through the sweat to the results.

Kettlebell - Beginner 

Combine dynamic functional movements to train endurance, strength, balance and agility to build a more resilient YOU! Learn the foundational Kettlebell swing, clean, press, high pull, snatch, lift, lunge and more!
This is the perfect class if you are new to using kettlebells and want to combine the efficiency of strength and cardiovascular training. Your instructor will guide you through skill progressions whether you are brand new or have some kettlebell experience.

Ballet Barre

The ballet barre will be used to increase your strength and flexibility, and challenge your mind and body with simple sequences for a full body workout! This class is geared to participants who have previous dance experience.

Pilates

Think of Pilates as intelligent movement training. Detailed cueing is used to move you through spinal flexibility and core stability, helping build a stronger and more functional you. No previous Pilates experience required.

Yoga Rest & Decompress

Be reminded of the thoughtful reflective nature of your yoga practice while you slough off the debris of the week. Let your instructor guide you toward balance and restoration while encouraging self-care. This class may include more "Yin" postures which is a wonderful complement to other yoga and exercise formats as it provides energetic as well as meditative benefits. This form of Yoga is more passive and it targets deeper connective tissues. These poses are mostly seated or lying down and held for 3 to 10 minutes.

Disco

Do you want to dance like John Travolta? Does the concept of 'Boogie Nights' or 'Do the Hustle' make your feet start to move and your hips start to groove? Or do you just like to have fun by trying something totally retro?

Then disco is for you! We will learn basic disco steps and a choreography to a juicy 70s Disco song. We will focus on dancing to the classics, but we'll explore some of the new disco-inspired songs.

  • Wow your friends the next time you hit the dance floor by learning funky retro moves!
  • Wear comfortable clothes and indoor runners or comfortable shoes
  • Large lapels, leisure suits, and sequins are optional!

DANCE
Belly Dance

1001 Nights...Scheherezad's Dance...Dance of the Seven Veils. Hollywood has its version of Belly Dance, but we would love to teach you the real thing!

Learn all of the sultry, feminine hip sways, undulations, and snake arms of the real Egyptian and North American bellydancers! In this low-intensity, strength-building class, you will:

  • Learn all of the basics, from hip lifts to shimmies and be introduced to Middle Eastern rhythms and artists
  • Put your dance steps to practice in combos and follow-the-leader exercises (and maybe a little veil work)
  • Learn one or more hot and exciting choreographies to wow your friends! Your hips won't lie after this class, they'll thank you for it!
