The Alberta Diabetes Institute IsletCore serves the international scientific community by isolating, biobanking, and distributing human pancreatic islets and other associated tissues for research. These human biosamples are distributed to over 120 groups located throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, supporting research into diabetes, transplantation, and cell-based therapies. The ADI IsletCore maintains an active research program comprising multiple international collaborative projects and manages the on-site Pancreatic Islet Deep Phenotyping Core.
