Nutritional and Metabolic Clinical Research
Integrated within the Clinical Research Unit, the Human Nutrition Research Unit (HNRU) supports nutritional and metabolic clinical research for a variety of adult and child health-related concerns including diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular diseases and obesity.
HNRU Director, Dr. Carla Prado, oversees the HNRU and specialized equipment and amenities such as dual energy x-ray absorptiometry, air displacement plethysmography, a fully-equipped research kitchen and a whole body calorimetry unit. The HNRU is a one-stop shop for clinical research that is open to researchers from around the world.
