Alicia Chichak

MSc Occupational Therapy

"Thinking like an occupational therapist means viewing people as ‘occupational beings’. Simultaneously recognizing them for who they are in the present, and acknowledging that who they are now has been and will continue to be shaped over time by what they do in their unique context.”

Alicia enjoys the changing landscape of occupational therapy and how it shapes a person’s view. She is very passionate about her profession and is excited to continue her career journey.

"I wanted to study occupational therapy because I knew that what we do every day shapes and reflects who we are and what is meaningful to us. I wanted to help individuals connect to the things that matter most in their lives."

Alicia plans to continue working with clients in a mental health setting and advocating for further integration of the OT profession in healthcare and beyond.
