Alana Osbaldeston

MSc Occupational Therapy

"What I love about OT is that people from all backgrounds come into this program/profession and they each bring a unique lens and skill set that is valuable to this profession. Learning from your peers is huge; they will be your future colleagues and are a great support network to connect with."

Alana had a keen interest in approaching individual mental and physical health from a holistic lens. In fact, this is what drew her to the profession of occupational therapy. As she dove deeper into understanding the field of OT, the creativity and holistic approach to care began to appeal to her even more.

Alana decided to shadow an occupational therapist to understand more about the profession firsthand. And, after this experience, she found her passion. What kept Alana motivated throughout the program was her love for learning, and putting what she learned into practice.
