Areas of Research
Research in the School of Public Health is informed by a variety of core disciplines in public health, including biostatistics, community engagement, environmental health, epidemiology, global health, health policy and management, and health promotion and socio-behavioural health sciences.
In addition to leading productive individual research programs, faculty in the School of Public Health participate with colleagues and partners in a variety of teams, networks and consortia. These larger research collaborations provide a multidisciplinary perspective on complex public health issues facing communities.
Our researchers work with others to protect water supplies, prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer, build community capacity for health and wellness and develop and evaluate health technology and health policies.
