About Us
Psychology has approximately 34 academic staff, 18 emeritus professors, 3 adjunct professors, 18 sessional lecturers, 13 support staff, 60 graduate students and 5 post-doctoral fellows. We have 1300 undergraduate majors and 700 undergraduate minors.
The department offers a diverse education to both our undergraduate and graduate populations with 60 different undergraduate courses and a wide variety of graduate courses. We offer over 100 courses each year covering foundational material as well as current and emerging topics.
Research in the department is funded by provincial, national and international grant agencies such as NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR, CFI, AB INGENUITY, NIH, AHFMR/AIHS and ACCFCR. Approximately 3.2 million dollars in research funding is currently awarded to members of the department.
