We are offering visits to the Observatory hosted by an astronomer!These visits are offered free of charge to school and home-school groups, youth groups such as guides and scouts, and any other group interested in astronomy. We do not recommend these visits for grades earlier than Grade 3.

Goals
Astronomy is a science that easily captures the imagination of children and can serve as a gateway to help a child develop interests in all areas of science. Our goal is to encourage active learning through exploration of topics set by the Alberta curriculum guidelines. In particular, we can help you meet the learning goals of Unit C Sky Science in Science 6 and Unit E Space Exploration in Science 9.
Teachers of other grades and leaders of other education-oriented groups are also welcome. We do not recommend observatory visits for grades younger than grade 3.
