Dr. Carole A. Estabrooks will be inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of of Nursing at the 38th Annual Meeting and Conference on October 15, 2011 in Washington D.C. Carole joins only four other Canadians nominated to the academy this year. Carole was selected by a panel of elected and appointed fellows based on the extent to which her career has influenced health policy and heathcare delivery. Carole has had a distinguished career in the field of knowledge translation and in recent years her work has been dedicated to knowledge translation and its effects on quality of care and quality of life for residents in long term care settings as well as the quality of worklife for caregivers in this sector.
