KUSP is proud to report the establishment of the Sandra J. Cobban Dental Health Merit and Service awards. These awards will recognize contributions made to dental public health by individuals or groups and are sponsored by the Dental Public Health Centre, Department of Dentistry, University of Alberta, in recognition of Sandy Cobban's exemplary career and her major influence in dental public health practice, management, research, and education.
Two awards will be given out on an annual basis:
The Award of Merit will recognize dental public health professionals who through clinical practice, research, education, advocacy or by other means have advanced the practice of dental public health and have demonstrated their strong dedication to the field.
The Service Award will recognize individuals or groups who may or may not be dental public health professionals but have put forth significant efforts to further dental public health practice.
Congratulations to Sandy, who is also the inaugural winner of the merit award.
