Christen joined the Health Law Institute (formerly HeaLS) team in July 2009. Christen holds a BA in Applied Linguistics and an MA in Applied Language Studies. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa. She is involved in a number of research projects at the Health Law Institute with a particular interest in health policy discourse and media analysis.
