Graduate Student Teaching Awards
Value: The Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) will provide faculties with a certificate of recognition for each recipient.
IT IS TIME TO NOMINATE!
The 2025 Graduate Student Teaching Award nominations are open for faculties to submit by March 31, 2025, using the allocations identified. Faculties will follow the existing adjudication process described in UAPPL with note to the changes to the policy by the GPS Review of Teaching Awards Working Group that were presented and accepted at the GPS Council on January 17, 2024.

Selection Process
The deadline for receipt of these selections will take place in the winter term each year.

Eligibility
“Students who have made significant contributions to the teaching mandate of a department or faculty, outside of a teaching assistantship, may also be eligible”.
Nominees must be in good academic standing to a “Minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher as determined by the nominating department/faculty”
Students can self-nominate to their department/faculty, and be nominated by their department/faculty.

Report of the Equity, Diversity, & Inclusivity Review of Teaching Awards Working Group MAY 2022
The Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies is planning to host the 2025 Graduate Student Teaching Awards which recognize the outstanding teaching of graduate students. These awards would not be possible without the support from departments and faculties. We will provide more details soon and an RSVP on the event to take place April 24, 2025 from 2:30 - 4:00.
