What is your role at the clinic?

My mission as a therapist is to empower people living with pain through evidence-based manual therapy and patient education. After completing my BSc in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta, I pursued massage at Vicars School of Massage Therapy. My sports background comes mainly from working with U of A Varsity Health. I spent several years as a kinesiologist assisting the Pandas and Bears volleyball and basketball teams court-side with first aid, injury rehab, and warm-up. This experience exposed me to invaluable mentorship and incredible opportunities, such as shadowing the Athletic Therapists of the Olympic Canadian Women’s Basketball Team.

What is your clinic speciality?

My expertise lies in injury assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly of the shoulder and TMJ. With a sports background, I understand the drive to compete despite the presence of injury or pain. I firmly believe in healing through movement instead of rest. In each session, I aim to provide you with as many instant benefits as possible through massage while equipping you with tools to succeed in the long term in your athletic endeavours. I’m also passionate about collaborating with your other healthcare providers to deliver you the highest level of comprehensive care.

What is your favourite way to stay active?

Outside the clinic, I can be found backpacking with my dogs, lifting weights, travelling, practicing photography, and seeking continuing education. My treatments are always individualized to your goals and your body. Regardless of your sport or activity level, don’t be shy; you don’t need a referral to swing by!
