An enthusiastic and caring group of professionals committed to helping donors meet their philanthropic goals, the Development and Alumni Relations team builds long-term relationships with alumni, parents, friends, corporations, foundations and community groups, and educates constituencies on and off campus about the priorities of the University of Alberta.
The Development team includes the following units:
- Faculty Development shapes the strategic direction and fundraising priorities for all 20 faculties, academic and student support units across the institution. They work with faculty and other senior campus leadership.
- University Development works to enhance personal connections between the University of Alberta and its donors, focusing on relationship building, fundraising, gift acknowledgment and celebration, and philanthropic impact reporting.
- Advancement Services supports U of A fundraising through donation agreement review and approval, gift processing, accounting, report development, data analytics and other information services, and alumni and donor record management.
