Call for Contract Academic Instructors

The Department of Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Alberta invites applications from qualified instructors for the following courses that will be offered during the 2016-2017 academic year.
Fall courses:
WGS 240 Feminism and Food, MWF 2:00-2:50
WGS 250 Gender and Science T 5:00-8:00
WGS 440 Body Politics TR 12:30-1:50
Winter courses:
WGS 298 Critical Issues T 5:00-8:00
WGS 390 Ecofeminism M 5:00-8:00
Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. Experience teaching in the field of Women's and Gender Studies is an asset. A Ph.D. in Women's and Gender studies or a related field, at or near completion, is required. Interested applicants should send a cover letter that indicates course preferences, a CV, and teaching evaluations for up to the past three years to Dr. Phil Okeke-Ihejirika, Interim Chair of the Department of Women's and Gender Studies at pokeke@ualberta.ca by April 15th, 2016. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications in accordance with the Contract Academic Staff Teaching agreement.
Please note that WGS 298 Critical Issues is a variable topic course; applicants interested in this course should provide a course title and proposal.
