Dr. Felice Lifshitz, Professor in the Department of History at Florida International University, is a candidate for a position in the Women's Studies Program. A medievalist, her numerous publications include The Name of the Saint: The Martyrology of Jerome and Access to the Sacred in Francia 627-827 (U of Notre Dame P, 2005), the co-edited volume Why the Middle Ages Matter: Medieval Light on Modern Injustice (Routledge, forthcoming 2011), and the co-edited volume Gender and Christianity in Medieval Europe: New Perspectives (U of Pennsylvania P, 2008).
